Amy started dancing when she was a toddler. She joined the Marie Stinnett Dance family in 1989 at the age of 11. Amy became an teachers assistant in 1992 and from there moved up the teaching ranks. In 2000, Amy graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a B.A. in Dance and a minor in Business. Upon graduation, she remained in Los Angeles to try her luck in the dance industry. After gaining two years of experience, Amy decided it was time to return to her dance roots at Marie Stinnett Dance. This will be her seventh year on the teaching staff. Amy enjoys teaching Jazz and Tap classes.
In previous years Amy has done choreography and coaching for many children’s groups and middle/high schools in Santa Clara County. June 2010 marked the ninth “Dance at the Gym” in which she has been involved in choreographing the show.
In addition to teaching dance, Amy is also a first grade teacher at Stocklmeir School in Cupertino.
